The Extraordinary Minister is a Catholic in good standing who distributes Holy Communion to the faithful. A Catholic in good standing is distinguished by living and practicing his Catholic life, faith, and morals.
They have received the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. If in a state of matrimony, the Catholic must be in a "valid" Catholic Marriage. The ministriy requires a class for training. You also are able to bring communion to those who cannot come to Mass.
